About

It all started out with just deciding to do a cover of Remembering Sunday by All Time Low for an Open Mic at the Dallas High, and a desire to sing rekindled not too much later. Soon, Paper Stars was "born." The name was inspired by a comic where a young girl made paper stars whenever she felt sad or alone, after being taught how to create them by a boy in her dreams. He told her that when she reached 1,000 paper stars, she could have a wish. Eventually she reached 1,000 paper stars, and the "star boy" came to her to grant her her wish--and in the end, all she really wanted as a true friend. It struck true for me (Emily), realizing I felt exactly that way when I started High School--and then Lizzy showed up... so choosing this name, just made sense. Now we've decided to go forward with doing covers for the fun of it, and we hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoy singing.
